EMU01 is an international collaboration encompassing nearly 100 scientists, 20 institutions and 12 countries. An address list provides postal and e-mail addresses, fax and phone numbers for the participants. The collaboration name is derived from the name of an experiment at CERN.
The purpose of EMU01 is to investigate relativistic heavy ion interactions using nuclear emulsion based detectors. Emulsion chambers and pellicle stacks have been exposed to oxygen, silicon, sulfur and gold beams at CERN (Experiments EMU01 and EMU12) and BNL (E-815 and E-863). A list of publications provides references to published results.
The local UW group is investigating correlations and fluctuations in the charged particle production angles from nuclear interactions.
