JACEE Emulsion Chambers for Measuring the Energy Spectra of High Energy Cosmic Ray Nuclei

Proceedings of the 20th International Cosmic Ray Conference, V2, pp. 419-423 (OG 9.2-19).

Emulsion Chamber techniques used in a series of JACEE balloon flight experiments are presented. Methods to estimate detection effeciency and conversion factors of primary energy spectra for heavy elements are reported, by using the Monte Carlo simulation with nucleus-nucleus collision models and characteristics of emulsion chambers.
