MapView Distribution Page

This is the distribution page for MapView, a program to interactively display and manipulate maps generated by the XMap automated mapping system.

MapView requires tcl/tk, a free scripting language from Sun Microsystems. It works on Macintosh, unix, and Windows computers. Therefore MapView works on these computers also. Since this is a scripting language, no compiling is necessary. All you need is to install tcl/tk, and then to copy the program files. • MapView program, as a gzipped tar file or ZIP file
• Sample data, a preliminary map of the ZZ chamber made from the "c" x-ray films. About 560k, available as a gzipped tar file or ZIP file.
• Sample data, the spots which were found to make the map above. These files can be loaded into MapView as well. They have not been realigned, so positions will be slightly different than in the map. 2 Mb, gzipped tar file or ZIP file.
